Remember: you host your Node. Labs does not. Localhost is for testing; Labs needs your public HTTPS URL.

Checklist (commands explained on the hands-on page — do not skip the “where do I type this?” section):

1. Use this template → create your repo from

payport-merchant-template.

1. In a terminal on your machine: clone your repo → venv → pip install → cp .env.example .env.
2. Set DEVELOPER_WALLET_ADDRESS (SIWE = env = agent.json recipient_wallet).
3. Keep PAYMENT_MODE=mock and ENVIRONMENT=village.
4. Start with uvicorn on 127.0.0.1 — prove /health, agent.json, 402 / test_node.py.
5. Deploy your repo publicly → register your host’s HTTPS URL in

District Zero — not Labs :8142.
